New Ipad Released

Today was the day folks, Apple releases “The new iPad” along with a few other surprises and TechNetec has all the details for you stay tuned after the break for more details.
These press releases are are like Christmas to me as a writer I was tuned into the live blogs the entire time as Tim Cook and friends released “The new iPad.” So let’s throw out some of the more crazy rumors that surrounded the iPad prior to release, for example the iPad does still have a home button and yes the iPad does still have the same 30 pin dock connector. Apple though started the press release with iTunes and the Cloud. Apple has now integrated movies with cloud so you can easily re-download movies that you own. Apple has also now integrated full 1080p support for movies (took them long enough) which means you’ll really be able to enjoy those movies on your new Apple TV. That’s right the Apple TV is getting a refresh and it allows for full 1080p support, easier to use UI, and iTunes playlist’s from the iClould. A very cool refresh on a device that has needed it and it’s your for $99.
Apple then went on to say how great the world is thanks to the iPad but still didn’t reveal it just yet they first focused on the release of iOS 5.1. First lets warn you DO NOT UPGRADE IF YOU WANT TO JAILBREAK. But there is more Siri support for more languages including, Japanese, German, French, and new accents like an Aussie accent shown off today at the release.
Tim Cook then went on to say how the iPad changed the market and how it destroys other tablets on the market, including the Galaxy Tab. Cook asked “Who will come out with a product that’s more amazing than the iPad 2?” He then answered his question by saying Apple of course! There was then a demo of the new iPad and everything it was made for. Retina display was the first thing show off, the new iPad has amazing 2048 x 1536 resolution which blew my mind when I read it the first time. Everything looks amazing when you zoom and you get to see so much detail, it will blow your mind. With 264ppi this is an amazing looking display. The next feature is the A5X processor, with the cool new name, the processor supports quad-core graphics and, according to Apple, it’s twice as fast as the Tegra 3 with four times the performance. The next feature is the new “iSight” camera 5 megapixels in the back with an illuminated sensor, 5-element-lens, IR filter, and ISP built into the A5X chip. So a very similar set up to the iPhone 4S with 1080p video recording to go with it, which means we’ll have to stop laughing at those who walk around and shoot with their iPad. The next feature is voice dictation, which might I add is NOT Siri. It’s just dictation when your typing and supports British, Australian, French, German and Japanese. The 5th feature is 4G LTE!! Which you might have guessed is the one I’m excited about. With this iPad running 4G LTE, on Verizon and AT&T, you get an amazing 73Mbps download speed. The reason I’m excited about this is that this most likely means that the next iPhone will also support 4G LTE and you know I’m gonna get me some of that. Verizon, Rogers, Bell, Telus and AT&T will be the LTE partners. Along with this the iPad can now be a personal hotspot, if the carrier supports it. With all of this most people expected the battery life to go down drastically, but Apple has pulled it off once again you get a full 10 hours on 3G and 9 hours on 4G. All for $499 for 16GB, $599 32GB, $699 64GB, but for 4G LTE your gonna have to pop a little extra it’s $629, $729 and $829, for the respective GB sizes. Apple then showed off some new apps being used on the iPad 3 including “Sky Gamblers” by Namco which showed off the great graphics in a Act Combat type game. “Sketchbook Ink” by Autodesk which allows for fantastic drawing on the new iPad 3 resolution that allows for fantastic up close drawing on a tablet like never before. The last app shown off was “Infinity Blade” by Epic Games which looked amazing in retina display, this could revolutionize games according to Apple.
Apple also updated their plethora of apps with all the iWork apps looking great in retina display and Garageband getting “smart string” technology, and iMovie with new editing technique that makes these apps much better on the new iPad. A new app came out of Apple to called iPhoto which allows for photo editing, journals, brushes, and photo beaming, really a great addition to the new iPad, avaliable now for $4.99. Apple then wrapped things up and talked about how amazing the new iPad really is. I know I’m excited for it and hope everyone reading this it to. By the way! The reason I never said the iPad 2S or the iPad 3 is because Apple never announced a clear name, it’s really just “The new iPad” which is weird and different of Apple, but I guess it’s just not all about the name right? I will refer to it as the iPad 3 personally but Apple just says it’s “The new iPad.”
Hope you guys enjoy the new iPad!
